Getting Started
How do I create an account?
Download Hut from the App Store or Google Play, then tap "Get Started" and sign up with your email or use Sign in with Apple/Google.
Is Hut free to use?
Yes! Hut offers a free plan with up to 50 recipes and 10 AI imports per month. Upgrade to Premium for unlimited recipes and imports.
What devices does Hut support?
Hut is available on iPhone, iPad, and Android devices. You can also access your recipes on the web at gethut.io.
Importing Recipes
How do I import a recipe from a website?
Copy the recipe URL from any website, then open Hut and tap the "+" button. Paste the URL and our AI will extract the recipe automatically.
Why did my recipe import fail?
Some websites block automated access. Try copying the recipe text directly and pasting it into Hut instead of using the URL.
What counts as an AI import?
Each time you import a recipe from a URL, photo, or pasted text, it uses one AI import. Manually entered recipes don't count against your limit.
Subscriptions
How do I upgrade to Premium?
Open Hut and go to Settings > Subscription. Choose your preferred plan (monthly or yearly) and complete the purchase through the App Store or Google Play.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed through your device's app store:
- iPhone/iPad: Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions > Hut
- Android: Google Play Store > Menu > Subscriptions > Hut
Can I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple or Google, not directly by Hut. Contact Apple Support or Google Play Support to request a refund.
What happens to my recipes if I cancel?
Your recipes are never deleted. You'll retain access to all your recipes but will be limited to the free plan features until you resubscribe.
Account & Data
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings > Account > Delete Account in the app. This permanently deletes your account and all data within 30 days. You can also email us at support@gethut.io.
How do I export my recipes?
Go to Settings > Export Data to download all your recipes in a standard format that can be used with other apps.
Is my data secure?
Yes. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We never sell your personal information. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Why aren't my recipes syncing?
Make sure you're signed in to the same account on all devices and have an internet connection. Try pulling down to refresh or force-closing and reopening the app.
